Did you know...

... the city was built by a plan and the rectangular shape of its centre makes it a unique city in Croatia

... Bjelovar team-handball club "Partizan" on 19th February 1972 won European championship's title and became the first team-handball club from former Yugoslavia with that title (also the second sport club from former Yugoslavia that won the European champioship)
