Million years ago, ground of Croatia was covered with Panon Sea. Only part that left from it is located in Hungary by name "Blatno Jezero".
First villagers were living in earth-cabin. They were built in hill part, covered with branches, grass and skin. With archeological founding’s of weaponry dishes of clay it was proven that they were hunters, as well as farmers.
Dead ones was burned (cremated) and putted in clay vases.

Findings in city museum are showing us that they are belonging in "Lasin" and "Vučedol" ethnic group. In Roman time through land roads were built that were connecting important roman places and military fortresses between rivers "Sava" and "Drava".

With reminding of roman plumbing, birch’s, glass statues, money and other objects we can be sure that an Bjelovar´s place an old roman village was built with military camp, road builders etc.

Well-organized roman need’s helped at the end of 6th century helped in immigration of Slaven´s to these parts. They are building places around Dominikovica, Pavljani, Narta, Nevinac, Severin, Grginac, and Gudovac etc.
